今日は、日曜ですが、昼過ぎに出勤。
たまった仕事をかたずけています。
さて、昨日の夜は、恒例のフットサルでした。
2週連続ということもあってか、気持ちいつもより
動けてた気がします。
それにしても、昨日の日本代表本当によく頑張りました！
勝てばＷ杯進出が決まる大一番で見事に
期待に応えてくれました。
日本のサポーターも陣取っていましたが
審判含め完全アウェイの中、4大会連続の切符です。
そんな中、テレビで勝利の瞬間を観ながらふと思ったのが
97年の初出場を決めたときに比べて、Ｗ杯出場の喜びが
普通になってきているということです。
97年、ジョホールバルで岡野があのゴールを決めた時は、
嬉しさと興奮が入り混じり怒涛のような感情がこみあげてきたのを
今でもはっきりと覚えています。
あれから、12年
日本はW杯に連続出場していますが、おそらく今の日本人の多くは
アジア予選突破は当然といった空気になっていると思います。
これはとてつもなく大きな変化です。
ひと昔前までは、W杯に出場することが目標でしたが
いつも志半ばで潰えてきました。
しかし、97年のあの勝利から、昨日の勝利で日本は
4大会連続の出場を果たしています。
実は、この当たり前の感覚が、日本のサッカーを
強くしてくれていると思います。
サッカー強豪国も、同じように厳しい予選を戦いますが
南米や欧州の国は出場できて当然といった考えを常にもっています。
そうした国民のプレッシャーが、その国のサッカーの
質・スタイルを高める役割を担ってくれています。
日本代表も今やアジアでは強豪国。
これからも、強豪国にふさわしいDNAを後世に伝えながら
日本のサッカーも進化してほしいですね。
サムライブルーのこの後1年間の成長に期待です。
う～、12月のファイナルドローが早くも待ち遠しい。。
