世間はお盆休みで今週は電車が空いてます。
毎日このくらいなら通勤も楽だろうなと思いつつ
今日も事務所に出てます。。
電話の鳴らない静かで落ち着いたこの時期は、
仕事の計画や日々の考えごとを整理するには
大変有り難い時間です。
さて、今月は衆院選も控えており、月末には
新しい政権が誕生してるかもしれませんね。
各党もマニフェスト合戦を繰り広げていますが
中でも民主党は、最低賃金を全国平均で1,000円に
することをマニフェストに盛り込んだようですね。
一部の都道府県で生じている生活保護との逆転現象や
ワーキングプアを是正する目的があるのはわかります。
が、最低賃金の上昇が、はたして期待するような国益を
もたらすかどうかははなはだ疑問です。
賃金は低くても地域の雇用に大いに貢献している企業は
たくさんありますし、賃金の低さだけがワーキングプアの
原因ではないように思います。
また、生活保護とのバランスであればいきなりマクロ視点で
最低賃金の是非を議論するのではなく、各都道府県での
生活保護とのバランスをどうつけるか議論すべきだと思います。
いつも思うのですが、この国は政策決定の前提議論が
ほとんどなされないで、白か黒かを決める方向で動くことが
多いように感じます。
未来の国益という観点から、本当に必要な政策を考えずして
国の成長は絶対にありえないと思います。
ワーキングプアや生活保護との逆転現象が起きているから、
この問題を解決するには最低賃金を上げればいいといった
安易な発想だけは勘弁してほしいですね。
