4年に1度のワールドカップが間もなく開幕します。
かくいう自分もこの時ばかりは、毎晩テレビから
目が離せなくなるので、毎日寝不足気味になります。
ワールドカップ期間中は、極力仕事や夜の予定を
控えたいので、仕事のワールドカップ貯金のため
目下、ハードワークに勤しんでいます。
さて、我らが日本代表ですが、2月の東アジアカップから
まったくいいところなしで本番を迎えようとしています。
それにしても勝てない！！
5月の日韓戦は、まったくもっていいところなし。
正直かなり不安な内容でした。
次いで、イングランド戦は、オウンゴールで自滅。
韓国戦よりはアジリティもあり、選手一人ひとりの
危機感も伝わってきた試合でしたが、オウンゴールを
献上してしまうほどの決定打を与えてしまったことは
やはり後半のディフェンス面の脆さを痛感しました。
先週末のコート・ジボワール戦でも、攻撃の形が
ほとんど作れず、またしてもオウンゴールと後半の
しんどい局面での失点を喫して負けています。
日本は、今大会で一応は4大会連続出場となって
いますが、ホームの日韓大会を除いては
過去3大会でまだ１勝もできていません。
ホーム以外の大会で勝ち点3を奪えないのは
フィジカル差や運・不運でなく、勝者のメンタリティが
欠落しているからだと思います。
勝機を左右する勝者のメンタリティは、試合の中で
必ず形になって現れます。
経験に裏打ちされた強豪国は、必ずこの
勝者のメンタリティを持っています。
今大会の日本のグループリーグは、間違いなく
これまでで一番厳しいグループだと断言できます。
なので、もし1勝できたら、大きな前進になるかも
しれません。
不甲斐ない結果が続いている日本代表ですが、
今さらじたばた言っても始まらないので、これまで
やってきたことを思う存分発揮できるような試合を
期待したいところです。
6月14日のカメルーン戦が楽しみです。。
